Your project is a folder.
Zero is the workspace around it.

A desktop workspace for working on a project together with an AI model. Writing, organizing files, generating media, and automating the repetitive parts.

It runs on your machine. There is no account, no sync, and no server.

Version 0.4.0 · Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit

Nothing to migrate, nothing to export

A project is an ordinary directory, the one you already keep your files in. Zero adds a hidden .zero/ folder inside it, the same arrangement git uses.

Your files stay yours

Text, images, and everything else keep their names and their places. Open them in another editor while Zero is running; it notices the change and updates.

The project is versionable

Agents, workflows, chat templates, and project settings are plain text files. They live in a git repository and diff like text.

Moving a project is copying a folder

Everything that belongs to the project travels with it. There is nothing else to bring along.

What you can do in it

Talk to a model in context

Chats with full history, saved system prompts, reusable templates, and a chat you can attach to the document you are looking at.

Chats

Work with your files

Browse the workspace, edit text in the built-in editor, preview Markdown and CSV, and attach external folders as read-only reference material.

Files, documents and sources

Give work to an agent

The Assistant panel runs chats with an agent that has instructions and a set of tools you grant it.

Assistant and agents

Describe structured data

A schema carries an icon and a colour, buttons that run workflows, and a page layout, so a type you define comes with its own small interface.

Objects and schemas

Automate repetition

Workflows run the same sequence of steps over many inputs in the background, with a spending limit you set.

Workflows and runs

Generate media

Connect image, video, and speech services and keep the results in the project as ordinary files.

Integrations and generation

Bring your own model

Zero does not ship with a model of its own. It talks to providers you already have an account with (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and others) using your API key, or to a model server you run yourself, which needs no account at all.

Connect an LLM provider

Your keys stay on your machine

API keys belong to you, not to a project. Connect a provider once and every project you open can use it. A project you share or push to git never carries your keys with it.
